The festival will once again be supported by a range of fantastic food and drink.
Beer Tent
What better place to start than in the Beer Tent where 8 beers from a host of local Cheshire, Shropshire and Welsh Breweries will be on offer including Wrexham Lager. A purpose brewed ale for the event will also be available: Shockbest ! They will be served at a dedicate bar set up up to provide cool cask conditioned ale. A range of gin and of course prosecco, a festival favourite, will all be available.
Beers will include:
Big Hand’s Appaloosa (4.5%):
Golden hoppy American Pale Ale, there’s warm rich malty notes and bags of tropical fruit flavor with a dryish finish. Named for the lively American horse breed with a colourful spotted coat – this ale moves just as fast.
Big Hand Bastion (4.2%):
Chestnut coloured ale this is traditional best bitter with a twist from European and British noble hops. There’s fruitiness in the aroma and a tangy bitter spiciness on the taste buds. Easy drinking bitter for an evening of music and cheer!
Stonehouse Station Bitter (3.9%)
Station Bitter put Stonehouse on the right track. Traditional, full bodied beer with fruity hops, toasty malt, a slight chocolate note and light bitter finish. It slips down, but at this strength won’t land you in the sidings too quickly.
Stonehouse Sunlander (3.7%)
Delightfully crisp and citrus Aussie hops in a very pale ale that looks a bit like lager without the bubbles, but isn’t. A real cracker for summer drinking, the taste-buds say you must have another …. and another…..and …
SHOCKBEST (4.1%)
Lovely blonde ale from Peerless almost as beguiling as Belle Voci at Wembley.
There’s a tongue tingling harmony of biscuit & fruity malt, teasing bitterness and a high note of Cascade citrus. Ale that has you shouting ENCORE, ENCORE, ENCORE until that finale of delight!
Langton Spin (4.4%)
Brewed to celebrate 250 years of Mersey River piloting it’s named for a clever technique used to get big ships into Langton Lock.
Golden ale, this is as well balanced as the as the Spin, with bitterness from Eldorado hops and citrus from Columbus and Cascade with a crisp dry finish. Hugely drinkable – be careful you don’t need the pilots!
Peerless Triple Blonde (4.1%)
Peerless’ best-selling ale with 3 malts and 3 hops – wheat, lager and pale malts join with Admiral, First Gold and Cascade hops – for a blonde ale that delivers great body and a splendid citrus finish. Watch closely as it glides beautifully down the glass – but not for long!
